Drivers charged with stunt driving in Russell Township

VARS — While conducting a radar enforcement on St-Guillaume Rd, Vars, around 8:30 a.m. Dec. 10, an officer observed a vehicle travelling well above the 50 km/h speed limit. 

As a result of the investigation, Alberto Escarfullery-Angeles, 33, of Montreal-Nord, Quebec was charged with:

  • Race a motor vehicle – Stunt HTA 172(1) and
  • Drive motor vehicle – no licence HTA 32(1) 

The accused received a seven day driver’s license suspension and the vehicle was also impounded for seven days.

RUSSELL TOWNSHIP — A Russell OPP officer observed a driver driving well over the 80km/h speed limit around 8 a.m. on December 10 while conducting conducting radar enforcement on St-Pierre Rd.

 As a result of the investigation, Nicolas Paul-Arthur Cleroux, 18, of Embrun, was charged with:

  • Race a motor vehicle – Stunt HTA 172(1) 

The accused received a seven day driver’s license suspension and the vehicle was also impounded for seven days.
