CHESTERVILLE — A Bunch of People Arts and Events, McCloskey Project and Dundas County Players cooperative fundraising raised $600 from the Dinner and Christmas Show and a private showing of the staged reading of Dave Cooks the Turkey. “We doubled what we raised last year!” said Amanda Burger of A Bunch of People which added 10 percent of their profits from the year’s events to bring the total to $600. “This money is to be given to a Chesterville Family or Individual before Christmas. House of Lazarus (HOL) has identified the recipient and the money has been transferred to HOL already to ensure they can give it out before Christmas.”

The funds were raised from a Dinner and Show that was held at McCloskey’s on Dec. 13 and through a private showing at a house in Chesterville during that weekend. The show was also presented during a union Christmas party which was held for union members families at Upper Canada Village on Saturday, Dec. 14.

This December marks the 1st year anniversary of A Bunch of People Arts and Events, which partners with the McCloskey Project for all their events and the second Christmas show partnered with the Dundas County Players. This has been our first year in business and although not a smooth ride it has been exciting,”  Amanda said.

They look forward to more happening in 2020.
