Male charged in South Stormont after police find explosive devices in his vehicle

SOUTH STORMONT — SD&G OPP arrested a suspect after discovering improvised explosive devices in his vehicle.

Around 2:30 a.m. on December 16, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a suspicious person on Headline Road, South Stormont.

SD&G OPP officers arrested the suspect and secured the area and the devices (suspected Molotov cocktails) from his vehicle. There was no risk to public safety and no injuries.

Christian Sandhu, 37, of Richmond Hill, was arrested and charged with;

–             Explosives – making or possessing for unlawful purpose

The accused was held in custody for bail and was to appear in Cornwall court on December 16, 2019.
