SD&G OPP investigate hit and run after pedestrian in wheelchair struck in South Dundas

SOUTH DUNDAS — An investigation is underway after an adult pedestrian on a motorized wheelchair was struck by a vehicle around 11 p.m. on County Rd. 2, December 31 in South Dundas. At that time responding officers located an adult pedestrian suffering from non-life threatening injuries on County Road 2, South Dundas. The individual was transported to hospital.

SD&G OPP say their investigation to date has revealed that the victim was operating a motorized wheelchair on County Road 2 and had been struck by an unknown vehicle, which then left the scene. 

The Stormont Dundas Glengarry OPP is continuing with the investigation and are looking to identify the vehicle involved.
