14-year-old charged after brandishing an ‘edged weapon’ and uttering threats at Seaway District High School

IROQUOIS — A 14-year-old student of Seaway District High School threatened and pulled an “edged weapon” on another and uttered threats. Shortly before 8:20 a.m. on January 21, SD&G OPP officers responded to the disturbance.  

Police investigation revealed that the youth entered the school and displayed an edged weapon towards the victim and uttered threats. The accused youth then left the school and was located and arrested by officers in the area.

The youth, 14, of South Dundas, was arrested and is charged with;

–             Causing a Disturbance

–             Uttering threats

–              Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

–              Forcible entry

The accused was held in custody for bail and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court.
