North Dundas youth charged in relation to a robbery of another youth

NORTH DUNDAS — A youth approached another youth and displayed an edged weapon towards the victim shortly after 7 p.m. on January 30. SD&G OPP responded to the disturbance on Mill Street in North Dundas.

Police say investigation revealed the accused youth displayed an edged weapon and then demanded the victim’s property and fled the area.

Officers responding to the call located the accused later in the evening at a residence.

The victim suffered no injuries.

The 17-year-old North Dundas resident, was arrested and is charged with:

– Robbery with weapon

– Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

– Failure To Comply with Probation (YCJA)

The accused was held in custody for bail and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on January 31.
