Tractor stolen from Dixons Corners Community Centre; traffic stop leads to charges in N. Dundas

Stolen tractor 

DIXONS CORNERS — A John Deere tractor was reported stolen from the Dixons Corners Community Centre around 8:45 a.m. on February 3.   

Police Investigation indicated that sometime in the previous days, unknown individuals attended a business and removed a green 2010 John Deere 4120 tractor with yellow snow plow attached and a welded trailer hitch attached to the back.

An investigation continues. 

 

Traffic stop results in charges 

NORTH DUNDAS — SD&G OPP stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on County Rd. 3 North Dundas, shortly after 3 p.m. on February 4.  

Police investigation revealed that the driver’s driving privileges were disqualified stemming from previous driving related offences. The vehicle also had two different plates on it as well as no insurance. 

A 26-year-old driver of North Dundas, was arrested and is charged with; 

– Two counts of Driving While under Suspension – Highway Traffic Act

– Two counts of Using Plates not authorized for vehicle – HTA

– Drive a motor vehicle with open container of liquor – Liquor Licence Act

– Operate a motor vehicle without insurance (CAIA) 

The driver was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on March 17.
