EASTERN ONTARIO — A light school week concludes today (Feb. 7) as elementary students across the region have a third day off with the cancellation of school buses this morning after last night’s heavy snowfall.

It’s the second consecutive day this week that Student transportation of Eastern Ontario has called off the school buses because of snow. And it comes during a week in which primary school teachers from different unions have hit the picket lines, one day or another, adding up to three days off for most students at the elementary level.

And it’s the fourth time this school year that inclement weather has prevented school buses from running.
