Impaired driving charges laid, break-in and super speeders

Impaired drivers

SOUTH GLENGARRY — Charges were laid after a single motor vehicle collision occurred shortly after 12 a.m. on County Rd. 19, South Glengarry.  

Police investigation revealed that the adult driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Patrick Seguin, 23, of South Glengarry, was arrested and is charged with;

– Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

– Operation while impaired – alcohol

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court March 12.

 

SOUTH GLENGARRY — SD&G OPP responded to a traffic complaint shortly before 8 p.m. on February 29, on County Road 2, South Glengarry. Investigation revealed that the adult driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Scott Heath, 52, of Cornwall, was arrested and is charged with;

– Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

– Operation while impaired – alcohol

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court March 12.

 

Break-in

SOUTH DUNDAS — SD&G OPP responded to a report of a break-in around 8 p.m. on February 29 at a residence on Lakeshore Drive, South Dundas. 

Investigation indicated that sometime between – February 28-29, unknown culprit(s) attended the residence and removed several electronics.

An Investigation continues.

 

Super Speeders

SD&G — SD&G OPP officers conducted speed measuring enforcement in SD&G February 29 through March 1 and intercepted several vehicles for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicles were impounded and their driver’s permits seized for seven days in accordance with policy and were charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

SOUTH DUNDAS — A 26-year-old driver from Lasalle, Que. was stopped travelling 159 km/h on Hwy. 401, South Dundas, on February 29, shortly after 8 p.m. 

SOUTH DUNDAS — A 33-year-old driver from Quebec was stopped travelling 159 km/h on Hwy. 401, South Dundas, on March 1, shortly after 2:30 p.m.  

SOUTH STORMONT —  A 57-year-old driver from South Stormont was stopped travelling 136 on Hwy. 138 , a 80 km/h zone at 5 p.m. on March 1.
