WINCHESTER — Seasoned celebrity chef Steph Legari serves up the sizzle at the upcoming fourth annual admission-free North Dundas Local Business Expo.

The star of Rogers Tv’s Grill This Smoke That is featured twice on the Expo demo stage, Saturday, April 25, at the Joel Steel Community Centre (Winchester Arena). Otherwise known as “Steph the Grilling Gourment,” the visiting barbecue expert will show what he can cook up at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

“I have been enjoying watching the creativity of Chef Steph Legari. And I cannot wait for people to taste his food made from local ingredients,” says North Dundas Chamber of Commerce Vice President Cheryl Beasley.

Legari’s among a number of demonstrators anticipated to make the stage a popular draw once again at the annual Expo co-organized by the North Dundas Chamber of Commerce and the Township of North Dundas.  The day will also see Bridals by Al-Mor turn the space into a fashion show runway highlighting what’s hot in suits, tuxes and dresses for the upcoming prom and wedding season at the Winchester retailer.

Of course, the stage activity is but a garnish to the main Expo attraction — nearly 100 local business exhibits and booths both upstairs and downstairs at the Arena.

Last year’s event drew 1,200 visitors to the packed venue.

Running 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the 2020 edition returns with a popular tree giveaway: 825 seedlings of various species will be handed out on a first come, first served basis — jointly funded by the township (275 seedlings) and South Nation Conservation (550). Twenty larger Colorado spruce saplings, set in two-gallon pots, will also go into a free draw (courtesy of the township).

Booths remain available both upstairs and downstairs for vendors interested in participating in this popular show. (Membership in the North Dundas Chamber of Commerce is not required). Be sure to register and pay before 4 p.m. on March 27 to take advantage of early pricing (save $50). Expo registration is handled online here:
