MORRISBURG — Community Living Dundas County has an award-winning Executive Assistant. Ms. Conway, who works at the head office of CLDC in Morrisburg, was recognized for her business outside of her Monday to Friday life.

It was an awesome day at the PARO Centre for Women’s Enterprise 25th annual PAROBiz Professional Development and Awards event on March 5 at the Hidden Valley Resort (Muskoka, ON) ). A local entrepreneur who specializes in public speaking workshops and coaching was recognized for her business acumen and talent.

Holly-Marie Conway, owner of Strength Through Speaking, was presented with the Rising Star award. This award recognizes a young woman’s emerging talent. A Rising Star is a current leader or an aspiring future leader who is starting out in business, managing her own business, and quickly rising through the ranks. This award is open to young women under 40 who are ‘women to watch’ in terms of future contribution and community leadership.

CEO of PARO, Rosalind Lockyer, said, “It was one of the best acceptance speeches I have heard, and well delivered. She so deserved this award.”

PARO is the strongest and largest peer lending network in North America. Last year alone PARO gave out over $353,000 dollars in grants to entrepreneur women and currently has formed over 153 peer circles to help women support and empower each other in their business ventures.
