DUNDAS COUNTY — The province has launched a toll-free line to provide support to Ontario businesses with questions about the province’s recent emergency order closing “at-risk,” non-essential workplaces.
Businesses in need of answers about the closures or how the recent emergency measures impact their operations or employment can call the Stop the Spread Business Information Line at 1-888-444-3659. Help is available from Monday to Sunday, from 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
The province issued the order shutting down affected establishments on Monday and exempting many others, effective today, while encouraging those employers to find ways to help their employees work from home.
The government has also reminded businesses to put in place protocols for physical distancing and regular hand-washing in order to protect the health and safety of employees and the general public.
