Drugs seized at a traffic stop

NORTH DUNDAS — SD&G OPP stopped a vehicle on County Rd. 31 in North Dundas shortly before 2 a.m. on April 2.The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected methamphetamine. A check of the driver revealed that the driver’s driving privileges were disqualified stemming from previous driving related offences.

The driver, Jordan Cooper, 26, of North Dundas, was arrested and charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

– Operation while prohibited

– Driving under suspension (Highway Traffic Act)

– Operate motor vehicle without insurance (CAIA)

-Use plate not authorized for vehicle (HTA)

– Fail to apply for permit on becoming owner (HTA)

– Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available (LLA)

– Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available (CCA)

The driver was released and scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court, June 2.

 

Impaired drivers

SOUTH DUNDAS — A 37-year-old was charged for impaired driving after SD&G OPP conducted a traffic stop on County Rd. 31 South Dundas at 7:45 p.m. on April 2.

Investigation revealed that the adult driver was under the influence of a drug.

Stephen Honders, 37, of North Dundas, was arrested and is charged with;

– Operation while Impaired – Drugs

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court, June 2. 

 

SOUTH GLENGARRY — A 23-year-old was charged with impaired driving after a single-vehicle collision shortly before 6 a.m. April 3, on William St. in South Glengarry. 

OPP officers responded to a single vehicle collision on William Street in South Glengarry.

Investigation revealed that the adult driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Gabriel Gaudreault, 23, of Lasalle, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;

– Operation while Impaired – alcohol

– Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration – plus 80

– Contravene licence condition – driving ability – HTA

– Have care or control of vehicle with cannabis in open baggage – CCA

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Alexandria court on June 3. 

 

Breach of conditions – Domestic

SOUTH DUNDAS — Shortly before 8 p.m. on April 4, officers responded to a report of an accused breaching conditions in South Dundas. Investigation revealed that an adult accused was breaching previous release conditions.

The 24-year-old accused of South Dundas, was arrested and is charged with;

– Failure to comply with conditions of an Undertaking

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court June 9. 

 

STOLEN SUV

SOUTH GLENGARRY — SD&G OPP  responded to a report of a theft of a SUV from a residence on County Road 2, shortly before 3:30 p.m., April 5, in South Glengarry. Investigation indicated that sometime overnight April 4, a 2019 White Toyota Highlander (plated- Ontario -CKJT 880) was removed from the property.

An investigation continues.

 

Super speeders+

SD&G OPP officers conducted speed measuring enforcement in SD&G between March 31 and April 5 and intercepted the following vehicles for traveling at excessive speeds. The following vehicles were impounded and their driver’s permits seized for seven days in accordance to policy and were charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

SOUTH STORMONT — A 40-year-old from Oshawa was charged after they were stopped travelling 155km/h in a 100km/h zone, Hwy. 401, shortly before 10 a.m. on March 31. 

SOUTH STORMONT — A 20-year-old driver from South Dundas was stopped, shortly before 9 p.m. on March 31, travelling 166km/h in a 100km/h zone on Hwy. 401.

SOUTH DUNDAS — A 23-year-old driver from Montreal was stopped shortly after 4 p.m. on April 1, traveling 164km/h in a 100km/h zone, Highway 401.

NORTH GLENGARRY — A 24 year old driver from North Glengarry was stopped at 8:30 p.m. on April 1, travelling 143km/h in a 80km/h zone on County Road 20. The driver was also charged with driving under suspension (HTA).

SOUTH GLENGARRY —  A driver from Ontario was stopped shortly after 4 p.m. on April 3, travelling 155km/h in a 100km/h zone on Highway 401.

SOUTH DUNDAS — A 43-year-old driver from Point-Aux-Trembles, Quebec was stopped shortly before 8 p.m. on April 4, travelling 154km/h in a 100km/h zone on Highway 401. 

SOUTH STORMONT — A 33-year-old driver from Toronto was stopped shortly before 9 p.m. on April 5, travelling 159km/h in a 100km/h zone on Highway 401.
