Break and enter
AUGUSTA — Grenville County OPP received a break and enter complaint in Augusta, shortly after midnight on April 9.
The resident interrupted four possible youths attempting to gain access to his residence. The culprits ran away when confronted by the owner.
NORTH GRENVILLE — OPP officers responded to a traffic complaint regarding a driver parked in a local parking lot in North Grenville, shortly after 4 p.m. on April 7.
The 69-year-old driver from Osgoode was issued a provincial offence notice (PON):
Cannabis Control Act (CCA) 2017 – 12(1) – Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available.
EDWARDSBURGH — Grenville OPP received a report around 5 p.m. on April 9, of a vehicle in the ditch on County Rd. 44 in Edwardsburgh. The vehicle was located abandoned in the area a short time later.
Officers were then able to locate the driver a short distance away. Officer then used an Approved Screening Device (ASD) at the scene. The driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.
Brody Blaedow, 24, of Edwardsburgh, was arrested and charged with;
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) Criminal Code s.320.14(1)(b)
- Fail To Remain – Highway Traffic Act 200(1)(a)
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Brockville court on June 12.
Driver issued 3-day driving suspension
NORTH GRENVILLE — Grenville County OPP responded to a traffic complaint shortly after 2 p.m. on April 7.
Further investigation revealed the adult driver had been drinking. The 65-year-old driver from Ottawa was issued a 3 day driving suspension for driving with a blood alcohol concentration in the “warn range”.
PRESCOTT — Sometime around April 11, officers from Grenville County OPP received a report of mischief within the town of Prescott. A tree was damaged near the amphitheatre at the marina.
