NORTH GRENVILLE — Grenville County OPP received a report of damage to a door of a business on Ryan’s Well Drive in Kemptville, shortly before 7 a.m. on April 15. The culprits appear to have been interrupted while attempting to gain access to the building during the night.

Break and enter robbery

NORTH GRENVILLE — On April 17, around 7 a.m. OPP officers received a report of a break and enter of two outbuildings around 7 a.m. on April 17.

Members were advised that around 1:30 a.m., a locked outbuilding on Cty. Rd. 18 in North Grenville was entered into and numerous items equating to approximately $8,000 were stolen. Several items were taken including numerous Mastercraft and SnapOn ratchets, two snowmobiles and motorcycles helmets, a BMW Garmin GPS for a motorcycle and a Husqvarna Robot mower valued at more than $4000.

Impaired driver charged

NORTH GRENVILLE — Grenville OPP officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle travelling eastbound on Highway 43 in North Grenville,on April 18, around 10 p.m. After speaking with the driver, OPP used an Approved Screening Device (ASD). The driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.

Owen KLATT, aged 45, from North Grenville, was arrested and charged with;

  •  Operation while Prohibited Criminal Code s.320.18(1)(a)
  •  Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs Criminal Code s.320.14(1)(b)
  •  Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) Criminal Code s.320.14(1)(b)

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Brockville court on June 26.
