Charges laid after car theft

NORTH DUNDAS — SD&G OPP responded to a report of a theft of a car from a residence on Joseph St. in Chesterville shortly before 4 p.m. on April 11. Investigation indicated that sometime overnight April 11, a 2006 White Pontiac Grand Prix (plated- Ontario -CEZW 438) was removed from the property.

SD&G OPP officers arrested and charged a 17-year-old from Chesterville on April 20:

–             Possession of Property obtained by crime – Under $5000 (YCJA)

–             Fail to comply with conditions of an recognizance (YCJA)

–             Fail to comply with conditions of a probation order (YCJA)

Ottawa Police Service also assisted and arrested Brandon Charbonneau, 19, of Ottawa with;

–             Possession of Property obtained by crime – Under $5000

The vehicle was recovered and returned to the owner.
