Driver charged after stealing a vehicle from a Chesterville residence then returning with damage

Driver of a stolen vehicle charged

NORTH DUNDAS — SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a stolen motor vehicle shortly before 1 p.m. on April 6, Mill St., Chesterville. The investigation revealed that a Hyundai Elantra had been taken from the residence without the owner’s consent and returned to the residence with minor damage. An investigation continued.

SD&G OPP officer responded to a report of a theft from a motor vehicle at 10 a.m. on April 13. The victim reported that a purse and jewelry had been removed.

SD&G OPP located Roxanne Hanson, 21, of North Dundas, on April 16 and she was arrested and is charged with;

–             Take Motor vehicle without consent

–             Eight counts of Failure To Comply with conditions of a probation order

–             Possession of property obtained by crime – under $5000

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court on July 7.

 

Driver charged with careless driving

SOUTH DUNDAS — SD&G OPP responded to a traffic complaint at 12:30 p.m, on April 14, on County Road 2, South Dundas. Further investigation revealed that a domestic situation had occurred within the vehicle. Investigation revealed that an adult accused passenger was breaching previous release conditions.

A 25-year-old accused passenger of Toronto, was arrested and is charged with;

– Failure to comply with conditions of a undertaking

The 25-year-old driver from Mississauga was charged with;

–             Careless driving (Highway Traffic Act)

–             Novice driver B.A.C above zero (HTA)

–             Drive motor vehicle with open container of liquor (LLA)

The accused passenger was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on July 7.

 

Domestic assault

SOUTH DUNDAS — SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of domestic situation in South Dundas, shortly after 9 p.m. on April 14. Investigation revealed that an adult accused had caused damage to the residence and was breaching previous release conditions. The accused also assaulted the victim.

A 35-year-old accused of South Dundas, was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault

– Mischief

– Failure to comply with conditions of a probation order

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on June 17.

 

Traffic stop results in charges

SOUTH GLENGARRY — An SD&G OPP officer stopped a vehicle on County Rd. 2, South Glengarry, shortly after 12:30 a.m. on April 16. A check of the driver revealed that the driver’s driving privileges were disqualified stemming from previous driving related offences.

Jose Ushinahua Chicchon, 34, of South Glengarry, was arrested and is charged with;

– Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code.

The driver was released and scheduled to appear in Alexandria court on July 8.

 

Breach of conditions

NORTH DUNDAS — SD&G Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted an investigation regarding an accused breaching their previous release conditions shortly after 9 p.m, on April 16. Officers confirmed the accused was in contravention of the previous release conditions in North Dundas.

Anthony Levere, 34, of North Dundas, was arrested on April 17 and is charged with;

– Three counts of Failure to comply with conditions of probation order

– Fail to comply with conditions of Undertaking

The accused was held in custody for bail and is scheduled for a court appearance in Cornwall.
