Rockland resident charged for threats and assault

ROCKLAND — Russell County OPP responded to an incident at a home in Clarence-Rockland shortly before 1 p.m. on April 21, and commenced a criminal investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a 54-year-old resident of Clarence-Rockland was charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – sec. 264.1(1)(a);
  • Three counts of Uttering threats to damage property – sec. 264.1(1)(b);
  • Spousal assault – sec. 266; and with
  • Domestic mischief – sec. 430(4).

The name of the accused is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim. The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in L’Orignal court on July 8.
