Sexual assault charge laid and victim charged with mischief after domestic altercation

Domestic situation – assault

NORTH DUNDAS — SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of domestic situation shortly after 4 p.m. on April 27, in North Dundas. Investigation revealed that an ex-couple had an altercation. The victim caused damage to property while the accused assaulted the victim several times and caused damage to property. Both individuals were arrested.

A 26-year-old accused of North Dundas, was arrested and is charged with;

– Two counts of of Assault 

– Assault causing bodily harm

– Sexual Assault

– Two counts of Mischief

A 25-year-old accused of Cornwall, was arrested and is charged with;

– Mischief

Both accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on June 23.

 

Traffic stop results in charges

SOUTH GLENGARRY — A Highway Safety Division OPP officer stopped a vehicle shortly after 4:30 p.m. on April 22, on Highway 401, South Stormont. A check of the driver revealed that the driver’s driving privileges were suspended. The stop resulted in the driver providing a false identity.

Kenneth Johnson, 49, of Ottawa, was arrested and is charged with;

– Drive under suspension

– Obstruct Peace Officer

– Personation with intent to gain advantage

The driver was released and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on July 14.

 

Trespass by night

SOUTH DUNDAS — SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a suspicious person at a residence in South Dundas shortly after 12 a.m. on April 25. Investigation revealed that an adult accused had trespassed onto the property. While dealing with officers at the location the individual became resistant and damaged property within the cruiser.

Brandon Boyd, 30, of South Dundas, was arrested and is charged with;

– Trespassing by Night

– Resist Peace officer

– Mischief

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court on August 4.

 

Stolen ATV

NORTH DUNDAS — SD&G OPP responded to a report of a theft of an ATV from a Residence shortly after 12:30 p.m on April 27, on County Road 8, North Dundas. Investigation indicated that sometime in the previous days, 2020 a 2016 Black and Kawasaki KV3 with Ontario Licence Plate (2EC93) was removed from the property. An investigation continues.

 

Super speeder

NORTH GLENGARRY —  A 17-year-old driver was stopped on McCormick Road in North Glengarry traveling 139km/h in a 80km/h zone.

The vehicle was impounded and their driver’s permits seized for seven days in accordance with policy and were charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).
