Domestic Assault

SOUTH DUNDAS — SD&G OPP responded to a report of domestic situation in South Dundas, around 7 a.m. on May 7. Investigation revealed that an ex-couple had an altercation, the accused assaulted the victim several times. The accused was also on previous bail release conditions and was not to be near the victim.

A 21-year-old accused of South Dundas, was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault

– Assault with a weapon

– Fail to comply with conditions of a release order

The accused was held in custody for bai and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court.

 

Historical domestic assaults

SOUTH GLENGARRY – A domestic situation occurred shortly after 9:15 p.m. on May 7, South Glengarry. 

Investigation revealed that an adult accused had assaulted his partner several times in the previous years. The accused also threatened the victim.

A 48-year-old male of South Glengarry, was arrested and is charged with;

– Seven counts of Assault 

– Four counts of Assault with weapon

– Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm

– Criminal harassment – threatening conduct

The accused was held in custody for bail and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court.
