CHESTERVILLE — A 9-1-1 call in Chesterville around 7 p.m. Tuesday night prompted the arrival of several cruisers in the village.
“It was a weapons call, so the urgency would have been high,” says SD&G OPP Const. Tylor Copeland, when asked by NVN about reports of OPP vehicles travelling toward the village at high rates of speed on County Rd. 43 that evening.
Copeland added that more information will be forthcoming today.
As for the appearance of several cruisers at a Victoria Street address last night, he said that activity came as a response to a mental health call and was unrelated to the previous night’s activity.
