Winchester OPP station vandal sought by detachment

WINCHESTER — Someone threw a garbage barrel through the glass door at the SD&G OPP station in Winchester, and the detachment seeks the public’s help in identifying the culprit whose actions were partially captured on video.

The video also shows the suspect — appearing to be a male with short hair and wearing shorts and t-shirt — hurling a heavy object at the rear end of a parked cruiser during the June 13 incident, which occurred shortly after 4:30 a.m. The vehicle sustained damaged as a result, according to the local detachment.

Police say the individual left the scene without gaining entry to the building, which remained secure.

The investigation continues, and anyone with information is asked to call the SD&G OPP at 1-888-31-1122, or anonymously at the Crime Stoppers line — 1-800-222- 8477 (TIPS) where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
