Embrun man charged with child pornography offences

EMBRUN — A 34-year-old Embrun resident was charged on June 17, following an online child exploitation investigation. Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, assisted by Digital Forensics, along with members of the Russell County OPP Detachment executed a search warrant and arrested and charged Jean-Phillippe Sarault with two counts of possessing child pornography and one count of making available child pornography. 

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
