RUSSELL — Russell County OPP arrested an Ottawa resident early this morning after turning up a reported $9,000 worth of illicit marijuana during a RIDE check.
Stopped shortly after midnight, June 22, the involved vehicle was found to have “a large amount” of cannabis aboard, according to the detachment. Officers also located two pellet guns, a paintball gun, a large knife and “other items.”
Police say Guillaume Hull, 34, of Ottawa, is charged with: Possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose – Criminal Code sec. 88; and Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling – Cannabis Act sec. 10(2).
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on August 26, 2020.
