NORTH GLENGARRY — A man was charged with multiple offences after being pulled over by police for a traffic act violation on Cty. Rd. 34 in North Glengarry, shortly after 12:30 p.m. on June 22.
Officers attempted to de-escalate the situation as the individual became aggressive with the officer. The individual refused to follow the officer’s directions and resisted arrest. The individual was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine.
Philippe Bourgon, 40, of North Glengarry, was arrested and is charged with;
– Resist Peace Officer
– Possession of a controlled substance
– Fail to wear a proper helmet on power-assisted bicycle (Highway Traffic Act)
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Alexandria court, September 2.
