NATION VALLEY — South Nation Conservation (SNC), the South Dundas Chamber of Commerce and Ontario Power Generation have teamed up to launch a social media campaign dedicated to promoting the local St. Lawrence River region.
Since 2018, the South Dundas Chamber of Commerce and SNC have partnered to host a community event along the Morrisburg Waterfront in July called “It’s All About the River”.
Due to COVID-19, the event for this year has been cancelled. It’s #AllAboutTheRiver will instead run online from July 20 to 25 using the aforementioned hashtag as well as #OurRiver and #RespectTheRiver.
To help encourage participation, project partners have assembled a social media toolkit consisting of draft social media posts on a variety of River related topics, including environmental, historical, cultural, economy and First Nations. The campaign toolkit can be found online here: www.nation.on.ca/its-all-about-river-social-media-campaign.
Residents, industries, businesses, artists, and community organizations along the St. Lawrence River are encouraged to participate online by using the toolkit or the campaign’s official hashtags.
Daily posts throughout the week can also easily be shared or retweeted directly from the SNC and South Dundas Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
