Neighbour dispute; super speeder caught driving 176km in 80 km zone

Neighbour dispute leads to charges

MORRISBURG — SD&G OPP responded  to a report of a neighbour dispute on Victoria Park Crescent in Morrisburg, shortly before 12 p.m. on July 10. Investigation revealed that an adult had assaulted a neighbour during the altercation and caused damage to property at the home.

Chrissy Whitford, 35, of South Dundas, was arrested and is charged with;

-Mischief under $5000

-Two counts of Assault

-Unlawfully in Dwelling House

The accused was released from custody and was scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court on October 6.

 

Super speeders

SD&G – SD&G OPP conducted speed measuring enforcement July 13 to 15 in SD&G and intercepted the following vehicles for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicles were impounded and their driver’s permits seized for seven days in accordance to policy and were charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

SOUTH GLENGARRY – A 34-year-old from South Glengarry was stopped traveling 176km/h on Cty. Rd. 20, an 80km/h zone, shortly before 10 p.m. on July 13. 

SOUTH GLENGARRY – A 53-year-old driver from Quebec was stopped traveling 173km/h on Hwy. 401, a 100km/h zone, shortly after 1 p.m. on July 13. 

SOUTH DUNDAS – A 29-year-old driver from India was stopped traveling 153km/h on Hwy. 401, a 100km/h zone, shortly after 3 p.m. on July 13.

SOUTH DUNDAS – A 28-year-old from London was stopped traveling 155km/h on Hwy 401, a 100km/h zone, shortly before 9 a.m. on July 15.
