WILLIAMSBURG — The sum raised for a local couple who lost all of their belongings in a devastating July 7 fire continues to tick upward.

Michel and Claire Aubé are both “safe and sound” after the early-evening fire that tore through their home but lost all of their belongings, says Michel’s sister, Isabelle, who launched a crowdfunding campaign on the same night as the tragedy. The GoFundMe tally has hit $7,745 as of July 22.

She writes on the campaign page:

40 years of history and memories were unfortunately lost tonight in a devastating house fire in Williamsburg Ontario.

Thankfully my brother and his wife who are in their mid-sixties are both safe and sound. They also managed to save their cat but lost everything else including important belongings.

Please help them get through this tragedy by donating any amount that you are able to. These are good people who have helped many people throughout their lives including me.

Any help would be appreciated.
If you can’t donate please share this page ~

We thank you in advance,
Isabelle Aubé – on behalf of Michel and Claire Aubé
