Two youths charged after lights damaged at Morrisburg Beach; stolen van found

Two youths charged with mischief

MORRISBURG – Two male youths have been charged in connection to vandalism at the Morrisburg beach. SD&G OPP were called to the Morrisburg Beach Restroom around 12 a.m. on July 28. Investigation revealed that two male youths had caused damage to the restroom lights. 

A 12-year-old male of South Dundas, was arrested and is charged with;

– Mischief – Destroy or damages property ( YCJA) 

A 15-year-old male of Chapeau, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;

– Mischief – Destroy or damages property ( YCJA) 

Both youths were released and are scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on November 5.

The names of the accused are being withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).

 

Charges laid after van was stolen

SOUTH DUNDAS – SD&G OPP responded to a report of a van being stolen in Iroquois shortly after 7 a.m. on July 28. The van was located shortly after on Hwy 401.

Alexandra Pakis, 33, of Montreal, was arrested and charged with;

– Theft of motor vehicle

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Morrisburg on October 6.
