Stolen SUV and side-by-side ATV
SOUTH DUNDAS — A Chevy Suburban with trailer and ATV were stolen sometime overnight from a County Rd. 2 address, Sept. 8-9.
SD&G OPP officers responded to the reported theft the following morning. The detachment reports the Chevrolet as a blue 2008 model with plate CMAH 378 and the ATV as a 2009 green and black Arctic Cat side-by-side unit.
Charges in North Dundas break-in
WINCHESTER — A 39-year-old North Dundas man is charged with breaking and entering a place with intent to commit indictable offence.
He was arrested after SD&G OPP officers investigated a reported break-in at a Bailey Avenue residence. The detachment responded to the address on the morning of Sept. 12.
The accused, who has not been named because the incident involved the address of a family member, was released to appear Dec. 1 in Morrisburg court.
Charges in North Stormont domestic situation
NORTH STORMONT — A 56-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman are charged with assaulting each other during a Sept. 10 altercation at a North Stormont address.
SD&G OPP officers responded to the property shortly after 9:45 p.m. and arrested the involved parties. They’ve both been released to appear Nov. 10 in Cornwall court.
Charged with impaired in South Glengarry
SOUTH GLENGARRY — A Quebec motorist faces charges related to alcohol-impaired driving — and other offences — after being pulled over Sept. 8 for a traffic violation on Highway 401.
The SD&G OPP says the driver was uncooperative after being stopped shortly before 9:35 p.m. for travelling 131 km/h in a posted 80 km/h construction zone.
The detachment reports the arrest of Stephen Rust, 32, of Beaconsfield, Quebec, alleging he was under the influence of alcohol. He’s also charged with obstructing a peace officer and stunt driving.
The accused was released to appear Nov. 4 in Alexandria court.
