WINCHESTER — Acknowledging a “significant increase” in demand, the COVID-19 Assessment Centre in Winchester is setting up a telephone appointment system to “alleviate longer than normal wait times” for those seeking to be tested.

As of 9 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Sept. 17) patients can call 613-774-2420 ext. 6814 to book their test. “Patients will be given an estimated window of time to come to the Winchester Lions Hall [the testing site],” Winchester District Memorial Hospital says in a press release.  “Our goal is to test as many patients as we can each day, recognizing the limited resources and space.”

“Thank you for your patience and understanding as we implement this new system. We will continue to provide updates on the Assessment Centre on the WDMH website and through social media.”
