PRESCOTT — A Victor Court resident faces a charge of assault after spraying a neighbour with a water hose. The Sept. 19 incident involved an “ongoing neighbour dispute,” according to Grenville County OPP, whose officers responded to the Prescott address around 1:30 p.m and arrested an unnamed accused.
The involved individual is due Nov. 27 in Brockville court on the Criminal Code charge.
Prescott truck stolen
PRESCOTT — A white pickup truck was stolen sometime overnight, Sept. 14-15, from an Ann Street residence in Prescott, only to be abandoned by the thief.
The culprit attempted to light the truck on fire, according to the Grenville County OPP, which reports the vehicle was found Sept. 18 in a Blair Rd. ditch.
B.C. man charged with impaired in North Grenville
NORTH GRENVILLE — An allegedly impaired motorist was arrested after his vehicle turned up in the tree-line off Smith Rd., North Grenville.
Grenville OPP officers from the OPP responded Sept. 16 to the scene around 10:30 p.m. According the detachment, the driver sustained superficial injuries in the incident. He was transported to hospital after his arrest.
Police say Jonathan Lemire, 32, from Kelowna, British Columbia, is charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs – under the Criminal Code. He’s also faces a count of failure or refusal to comply with demand.
The accused was released to appear Oct. 9 in Brockville court.
Mischief investigation after kitty litter, soil poured on scooter seat
PRESCOTT — Grenville OPP officers are investigating an act of mischief involving kitty litter and a mobility scooter on Prescott Street, Sept. 19.
Responding to a complaint around 9:30 p.m., police spoke with the scooter owner who advised them that soil, cat litter and an “unknown substance” had been poured on the seat of the unit.
Single-vehicle collision, unbelted driver ejected
SPENCERVILLE — A motorist was seriously injured after an early-morning vehicle rollover Sept. 20 on Highway 416.
Not wearing a seatbelt, the driver was ejected in the single-vehicle crash, according to Grenville OPP. The detachment says a witness reported the SUV left the roadway and entered the median around 4 a.m., rolling over.
The driver was taken to hospital.
