Hit-and-run pickup driver sought after Russell crash

RUSSELL — Russell County OPP are searching for a hit-and-run pickup truck driver after a collision in Russell Township that injured another motorist.

It happened Sept. 21 shortly before 9 p.m. at the intersection of Eadie Road and Route 200.

A 27-year old woman was hurt when her car was struck by a pick-up truck travelling at high speed through the intersection, eastbound on Route 200. She was transported to hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

The maroon or burgundy pickup truck, which failed to stop at the scene, will have damage on the driver’s side toward the back, according to the detachment. Police say it was possibly a Chevy Silverado or GMC Sierra, in relatively good condition, believed to be 2014 to 2017 model year.
