69-year-old man dies in North Dundas motorcycle crash

NORTH DUNDAS —  The SD&G OPP says officers are currently investigating a single-vehicle collision that took the life of a motorcyclist near Morewood this afternoon.

A 69-year-old man was northbound on County Road 7 at Thompson Road when the motorcycle he was riding left the roadway around 12:30 p.m., throwing him from the machine. He was pronounced deceased in hospital after being transported from the scene.

The local detachment continues to investigate with the assistance of OPP Traffic Collision Investigators. It asks the public to please slow down or avoid the area as officers remain at the location with no road closure in place.

The deceased individual’s identity has not been released at this early stage.
