Man pulled from vehicle and assaulted in North Dundas road rage incident

NORTH DUNDAS — A road rage incident yesterday has the SD&G OPP looking for a middle-aged man who pulled another man from his vehicle and assaulted him by the side of County Rd. 43.

The Oct. 5 event occurred shortly before 11:10 a.m. when the assailant exited his blue Ford Ranger to confront another male motorist at roadside, one kilometre west of Hallville.

Police say the suspect “removed the victim from the vehicle by force,” assaulted him, then took off westbound on 43. His pickup truck also featured a cap.

He’s described as Caucasian, age 40 to 50, with large build and balding grey hair. He wore sunglasses, grey t-shirt and blue jeans.

The victim suffered minor non-life threatening injuries.

The detachment is looking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident. Investigators are also looking for anyone with an onboard camera who may have travelled the roadway between 11 and 11:30 a.m.
