Jordon Cotton of Winchester gets his wheels

More than a year in the making, 22-year-old Jordon Cotton of Winchester is presented here with a customized minivan that makes it possible for him to easily ride along with his siblings, parents or friends. Equipped with a special ramp and removable front seat allowing the young man to ride shotgun, the $56,000 vehicle was the focus of a community fundraising effort since April or May 2019. Friends, family and neighbours gathered outside at the Cotton family home to applaud as the new wheelchair-accessible vehicle arrived today, Oct. 8. The recipient offers heartfelt words of thanks, as does his mother, Angela, before they and others head off for a spin around the North Dundas village.
