HAWKESBURY — The United Counties of Prescott and Russell (UCPR) confirms there are now 25 positive cases of COVID-19 within the Prescott and Russell Residence — a figure that includes 17 residents and eight employees of the UCPR-owned institution.
Not all test results are back yet, with “a few” yet to be received, says the UCPR in a press released issued this afternoon.
It was just this past Friday that the nursing home recorded its first case of the virus, putting the place into official “outbreak” status, a development described as a “serious but not unanticipated turn of events.” The case count was revised upward to six yesterday as the outcome of additional tests undertaken on Friday began to be received.
