Victoria Street home invasion and robbery in Winchester

NORTH DUNDAS — Police are looking for two men in connection with a violent home invasion and robbery in Winchester yesterday.

SD&G OPP officers responded Oct. 17 to the Victoria Street address shortly after 10 p.m.

After breaking into the house, the culprits assaulted a resident who was alone at the time. The assailants took an undisclosed amount of cash from the dwelling before fleeing on foot. The male victim was not seriously hurt, according to the detachment.

The suspects are described as being white males, wearing dark face coverings and dark clothing. One of them had dark hair.

The OPP Canine Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit are assisting the SD&G OPP Crime Unit with the investigation.
