Last Friday, October 30, students wore their Halloween costumes or black and orange to school. It was wonderful to see the school filled with scary and creative Halloween costumes. This has been our best spirit day so far; two grades beat the 75% participation challenge. Grade 7 got 83% and Grade 9 got 86%. These grades will get their winning treat this week. Keep up the great spirit!
Monday, November 2, was our monthly grade colour day when students can earn points for their grade by wearing their grade’s colour.
This Friday is Hawaiian day, and there is something that makes this spirit day special. We are having a spirit day competition against Seaway District High School. The school with the highest participation percentage will win. The Student Councils from both schools collaborated to make this possible. We are all very excited to have some friendly competition between schools since we cannot have any of our regular sports tournaments or the Dundas Cup due to Covid-19. If it goes well this Friday, we will definitely be doing more like this.
