Charges laid in theft of all-terrain vehicle; County Rd. 43 traffic complaint leads to arrest of impaired driver

SOUTH DUNDAS — A South Dundas man faces Criminal Code charges in connection with the theft of a side-by-side all-terrain vehicle.

The 2013 Arctic Cat Wildcat model disappeared sometime Oct. 8 from a Cook Road property, according to the SD&G OPP, which reports the Nov. 12 arrest of Richard Coville, 49, in the matter.

The detachment says Coville is charged with break and enter, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

The accused was released to appear Dec. 1 in Cornwall court.

Charged with impaired in North Dundas

NORTH DUNDAS — A traffic complaint on County Rd. 43 led to the arrest of a North Dundas man for alleged impaired driving.

Advised that the involved vehicle was “all over the roadway,” SD&G OPP officers responded to the Nov. 11 complaint shortly after 7 p.m. and pulled over the motorist, who was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

The detachment says Johnathon Hicks, 32, faces alcohol-impaired driving charges. He was released to appear Dec. 1 in Cornwall court.

North Dundas woman charged in assault on husband 

NORTH DUNDAS — A woman is accused of assaulting her husband in North Dundas.

SD&G OPP officers responded to the reported domestic situation shortly after 9 a.m. on Nov. 10. Their investigation determined the 45-year-old woman had committed assault.

Arrested and charged with one count of assault under the Criminal Code, the North Dundas resident was released to appear Dec. 8 in Cornwall court.

Alexandria collision leads to impaired charges

ALEXANDRIA — A motorist struck another vehicle in Alexandria, leading to his arrest on alcohol-impaired driving charges.

The SD&G OPP reports the accused was driving dangerously at the time of impact, shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 7. Officers located him shortly after he fled the collision scene in his vehicle.

The detachment reports that 40-year-old Luc Leblanc of North Glengarry also faces charges of dangerous operation, fail to remain, and having care or control of a motor vehicle with unsealed container of liquor.

Leblanc was released to appear Dec. 31 in Cornwall court.

Highway 417 collision leads to impaired charges 

NORTH GLENGARRY — A single-vehicle collision on Highway 417 led to the arrest of a motorist on alcohol-impaired driving charges.

SD&G OPP officers responded to the Nov. 9 scene shortly after 9:30 a.m. Police say the driver was under the influence of alcohol and refused to provide a breath sample.

The detachment reports that Bradley Trenholme, 36, of Low, Quebec, also faces charges of operation while prohibited, having care or control of vehicle with cannabis readily available, and failure or refusal to comply with demand.

The accused was released to appear Dec. 31 in Cornwall court.
