Teen charged with assault in South Stormont

SOUTH STORMONT — Police in South Stormont answered a Nov. 22 call at 1:17 p.m. about a minor being assaulted by another minor. As a result, the SD&G OPP arrested a 15-year-old who has been charged with assault.

The accused is due to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on Jan. 28

Breach of release conditions

SOUTH STORMONT — SD&G OPP officers responded to a call on Nov. 16 at 9:15 p.m. about a minor breaching his release conditions. Further investigation revealed that the 13-year-old had breached curfew.

Arrested and charged with failure to comply with release order, the individual is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on Dec. 12.

Woman charged in assault of ex-boyfriend

SOUTH DUNDAS — A report of a domestic situation drew police to a residence in South Dundas township on Nov. 16 at 10:00 p.m. SD&G OPP officers discovered a 34-year-old female at the residence assaulting her ex-boyfriend and causing damage to his property.

The woman was charged with two counts of assault and one count of mischief and causing damage to property. She is due to appear Dec. 22 in court.

Traffic stop leads to charges

SOUTH DUNDAS — A Nov. 19 traffic stop by SD&G OPP Community street crime officers led to the arrest of 50-year-old Donald Helder. Police say Helder was breaching his release conditions and driving while under suspension. Charged with failure to comply with release order and driving while under suspension, Helder appeared Nov. 20 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

Woman charged after breaching releasing conditions

NORTH GLENGARRY — A 24-year-old woman was arrested and charged with three counts of failure to comply with undertaking, after SD&G OPP officers responded to a Nov. 17 call shortly before 10:20 a.m.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on December 22nd.

Woman, 69, charged in assault on husband

NORTH DUNDAS — Shortly before 11 p.m. on Nov. 18, the SD&G OPP received a call about a domestic situation in progress. The officers’ investigation revealed a 69-year-old female had assaulted her husband and caused damage to his property. She was arrested and charged with assault, assault with a weapon, and causing damage to his property.

The accused is due to appear Jan. 26 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

NORTH STORMONT — The SD&G OPP report a  22-year-old female harassed and assaulted her ex-boyfriend during a Nov. 21 domestic situation. Officers responded to the North Stormont residence hortly before 10 a.m.

She was charged with assault, criminal harassment, and breach of recognizance, and is scheduled to appear Jan. 26, 2021, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
