OFSAA Free Throw Challenge at NDDHS

OFSAA, the Ontario Federation of School Athletics Association, has been hosting a free throw competition for the last week. The challenge is to achieve the highest possible average out of 50 free throws. Students can attempt this in the gym at school or even at home by setting up a basket and throwing a ball from 15 feet away. North Dundas will get points based on how many participants we have. The competition ends this Thursday, December 3. This a great way to get active and have some fun!

Gender-based violence has been amplified by COVID-19. There has been an increase in calls to police services and shelters related to gender-based violence across Canada during the pandemic. The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women is Sunday, December 6; at North Dundas, we will have a moment of silence on Friday’s announcements to remember those who have survived gender-based violence and those we have lost.

It is now officially the holiday season as we enter December; the Student Council and the grade 12 students are hard at work creating the video for our annual Holiday Show. This week’s rehearsals are full of entertaining, social distanced dancing!
