SOUTH DUNDAS — A North Dundas man has been charged in connection with an Oct. 24 bonfire explosion that burned three women at a South Dundas hunting camp.

The SD&G OPP report the Dec. 3 arrest of Warren Ball, 26. Charged with three counts of criminal negligence causing bodily harm, the accused was released to appear Jan. 5 in Morrisburg court.

Police say their investigation revealed a fuel source was put onto a bonfire at the location on County Rd. 16. The three female victims went to hospital and were treated to burns to their bodies and faces — injuries the detachment describes as “severe.” The incident was reported to the authorities the morning after it occurred.
