NATION VALLEY — Residents of the South Nation watershed area continue to be advised to exercise caution when near watercourses as flows may rapidly increase and cause slipper banks and are advised to explain these dangers to their children.

Issued by South Nation Conservation last week in the wake of melting conditions that have swelled the river, the water safety statement remains in effect until Jan. 4, 2021.

SNC also advises residents to stay off frozen bodies of water.

SNC monitors water levels and weather forecasts as part of its Flood Forecasting and Warning Program.
