LIMOGES — The end of 2020 saw Russell County OPP make a substantial drug bust on Highway 417 eastbound near the Limoges exit.
On December 30th, shortly before 4:30 a.m., an OPP officer pulled over a vehicle driven by 22-year-old David Ivan Trombley of Windsor.
Inside the vehicle, police discovered nearly 160 grams of suspected fentanyl, and 110 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine combined. The drugs are valued at $27,000 in total. Trombley was subsequently arrested and charged with:
Failure to Comply with release order
• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Heroin
• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Police say a second individual fled the scene on foot and that a warrant is out for that person’s arrest. Trombley, however, will appear in the Court of Justice in L’Orignal at a later date.
