Celebrate Valentine’s Day 2022 at the WDMH Foundation’s postponed Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre fundraiser

WINCHESTER — The WDMH Foundation’s 1920s Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre has been killed for 2021 — and no sleuthing is required to figure out the culprit.

The Foundation now invites the community to celebrate Valentine’s Day 2022 “by taking your sweetheart” to the special fundraiser event on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022.

The Dinner Theatre was postponed once already after the pandemic’s first wave erased the originally scheduled date last June.

“Our focus has been on ensuring that everyone stays safe and well, and now we want to look ahead and imagine everyone being together again,” says Cindy Ault Peters, Manager of Direct Mail & Events at the Foundation. “We will truly have a reason to celebrate next February 12th!”

Slated for the Matilda Hall in Dixon’s Corners, the intended gathering will include a four-course dinner and a live murder mystery theatre production. There will also be silent and live auctions, prizes, raffles, and much more. Funds raised will be directed to the Family Care Fund.

Until then, the Foundation points out that other events are planned to keep the community connected. This includes a popular Sip, Savour & Support event targeting September 2021 — dependent on COVID-19 guidelines, of course.

Heartbreaking cancellations and postponements of public events are making an impact on the 2021 calendar, just as they did in 2020.
