HALLVILE — Loughlin’s is a family-owned country store that offers everything from groceries to amazing  baked goods. Recently, they also offered customers a way to support local health care.

A collection jar for the WDMH Foundation Cancer Care Fund was set up on the front counter of the retail operation based in Hallville, North Dundas Township. Customers were encouraged to toss any spare change, tip money, or the proceeds from their bottle refunds into  the jar. In all, $190.70 was raised in three months.

The store’s Facebook message explained it all: “In the rush of the Holiday Season it’s always nice to do a  little extra for those who have done so much for others throughout the year. Especially this year!”

“Thank you to the Loughlin’s team and to their customers for their generosity,” says Cindy Ault Peters,  Manager of Direct Mail & Events at the WDMH Foundation. “We are so grateful to local businesses who come up with these great  ideas and to community members who support them!”
