COVID-19 outbreak declared in Hawkesbury Hospital’s East Wing

HAWKESBURY — Hawkesbury and District General Hospital announced in a press release on Wednesday, March 17th, that an outbreak of COVID-19 has been declared in its East Wing. This comes after three people there tested positive for the virus, as was confirmed by Medical Officer Dr Paul Roumeliotis in his twice-weekly media briefing. However, both the hospital and the EOHU assures the public that they are following proper procedures to contain the outbreak while ensuring the safety of patients and staff.
