Police search home in Hawkesbury; Methamphetamine and benzodiazepines seized, charges laid

HAWKESBURY — At noon on April 16th, as part of an ongoing investigation, officers from the East Region Community Street Crime Unit and the Hawkesbury OPP Detachment conducted a search at a residence on Higginson Street in Hawkesbury. The search allegedly revealed a quantity of suspected Methamphetamine, Temazepam, and other items associated with drug trafficking.

55-year-old local man Richard Gorry was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (Methamphetamine)
  • Possession of Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession for the purpose of distributing

Gorry is scheduled to appear before the L’Orignal Court of Justice on June 2nd.
