Police apprehend suspect in connection with South Dundas graffitiing incident from last year

SOUTH DUNDAS — A 23-year-old from North York was arrested by SD&G OPP officers on April 30th in connection with an incident involving the graffiti of a public building. The incident in question took place on January 31st, 2020, at approximately 8:56 PM, at which time police received a report about vandalism to the Beach Building on Elizabeth Drive in South Dundas Township. According to the police, unknown individuals had been on the property prior to the arrival of officers.

As a result of an investigation, Cameron Jamieson was charged with mischief under $5,000. Jamieson is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on July 6th, 2021.

SOUTH STORMONT — In the afternoon of May 1st, reports of a family dispute led officers from the SD&G detachment of the provincial police to a residence in South Stormont Township. Upon arrivals, officers learned that an individual there had allegedly issued threats before getting into a tussle with a family member, causing damage to property.

Subsequently, a 20-year-old local man was arrested and charged with:

  • Two counts of Assault
  • Mischief Under $5000
  • Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm

NORTH GLENGARRY — On May 1st, officers responded to a report about a suspicious person at a residence on Kenyon Concession Road 2 in North Glengarry Township. Further investigation found that the individual in question was allegedly breaking their release conditions.

Roch Richer, 58, from North Glengarry was arrested and charged with two counts of failure to comply with conditions of a probation order. He appeared the following day before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
